Profile
The Profile feature allows each user to maintain their own account details inside billetsys.
Purpose
Support systems work best when the people using them have accurate identity and contact information. The profile area gives users a place to keep that information current without requiring separate administrative changes for every update.
Personal account information
The profile feature is where a user can manage the personal details that shape daily use of the system, such as:
- Name
- Full name
- Email address
- Preferred email format for outbound notifications
- Default rows for list views
- Social or contact details
- Phone information
- Country and timezone
- Password-related account maintenance
This helps billetsys function not only as a workflow tool, but also as a practical communication environment.
Display preferences
Users can set a default rows value that applies to all paginated list views (tickets, articles, companies, etc.). The available options are 10, 25, and 50. This preference is stored in the user profile and applied automatically across sessions.
Individual list views can still override this default using the rows-per-page selector at the bottom of any paginated list.
Notification preferences
Profile management also includes a user-level email format preference.
Users can choose whether outbound emails should be sent as:
- HTML and plain text
- HTML only
- Plain text only
This preference affects application-generated mail such as ticket notifications and password reset messages. It allows billetsys to support both richer email presentation and simpler text-focused delivery for users who prefer it.
Role-aware experience
Profile management is personal, but it still fits into the role model of the application. Different users may see profile pages within different layouts or navigation structures depending on their role.
That helps keep the feature consistent with the rest of the interface while still serving the same core purpose for everyone.
Password management
The profile area also supports password maintenance. This is important because account security is part of the same user experience as personal profile upkeep.
Keeping password changes inside the account area makes the feature easy to find and supports regular account hygiene.
Operational value
Accurate profile data matters across the application because it affects:
- Message authorship
- Notification delivery
- Contact visibility
- Role-based coordination
This means the profile feature has value beyond the individual user. Good profile data improves the quality of collaboration across the whole support workflow.
Why it matters
Without profile maintenance, account data becomes stale and communication quality drops. With it, billetsys gives users a direct way to keep their identity and contact context aligned with the real work happening in the system.
